This workshop addresses students and graduates who are seeking for jobs and post graduate positions in the UK/ US/ Canada etc. It provides information about how to apply in English successfully and points out the differences between international and German applications. Furthermore, you receive hints how to promote yourself effectively and learn about formal application procedures in general.

This workshop includes information about:

• How to write an application in English
• What are the differences between German and international CVs
• How to create a CV
• How to write a cover letter/ support letter
• How to create a follow-up letter
• How to write a letter of recommendation

In order to get maximum benefit from this presentation please bring a copy of your CV and cover letter in English with you to work on.
This workshop will be held in English. Participants should therefore have English skills and be willing to contribute actively.
