at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg (in collaboration with Medizinische Hochschule Hannover and Leibniz Universität Hannover) is seeking to fill the position of a
Scientific Project Manager (50% part time)
of the Joint Research Academy in Biomedical Engineering and Science of Hearing and Sensory Systems
in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The position is available from 1 October 2017 and will end with the current funding period of the cluster of excellence Hearing4all on 31 December 2018. Payment depends on previous experience (German TV-L E13).
A paramount goal of the cluster of excellence Hearing4all (www.hearing4all.eu/EN) is to transform audiology into an "exact" science based on the interplay between experiment and theory as well as between basic science and clinical research. The objective of the Joint Research Academy is to provide a comprehensive interdisciplinary training program for researchers in the field of physics, biology, neuropsychology, audiology and neurosensory science starting at the level of early career researchers and also serving postdoctoral fellows and group leaders at later stages of their career. The scientific project manager shall contribute to developing and coordinating the curriculum of the academy. He/She should engage in courses for PhD students and organize summer schools, workshops and symposia, coordinate the international activities regarding human resource development, and act as an important contact person for the early career researchers.
Candidates are expected to have an academic university degree (preferably PhD) in the field of physics, biology, psychology, audiology or a related discipline. We are seeking candidates with extensive knowledge in organizing research training groups, postdoctoral fellowship programs or other graduate education programs with a similar scope.
