Research interests

My main research interest lies in the advancement of signal processing systems which can detect and decode brain signals using mobile EEG hardware. I am interested in machine learning methods and brain-computer interfaces. Specifically, I am studying their potential application in healthy individuals and patients.

During my PhD project, I am helping to develop a training and communication system for severely brain-damaged patients. I am involved in the design and production of new electrode hardware and in the software development.

The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (NeuroCommTrainer, BMBF, https://www.bmbf.de/en/index.html).
