Research interests

As a member of "Hearing4all" Cluster of Excellence the aim of my research is to develop signal processing routines for an active, auditory BCI system communicating with a hearing aid.

I am particularly interested in decoding selective attention to one speech stream in multi-speaker environments, caused by neural phase locking to the rhythm of attended auditory object. This cortical activity is recorded with mobile EEG system in real life situations, so obtaining maximal signal quality is one of the most important prerequisites for successful speech reconstruction. For this reason artifact removal algorithms are also of considerable significance to my PhD project.
