PhD program in Australia: Scholarships, kangaroos and more

Have you ever thought of seeing kangaroos over weekends, enjoying a great lifestyle and pursuing your PhD studies in one of the top universities in the world?
All this and more is offered by the Australian National University (#22 world-wide according to QS world university rankings 2016) located in Canberra, the capital city of Australia.
In his talk, Dr Sergiy Bogomolov (http://www.sergiybogomolov.com/), a lecturer (assistant professor) at the ANU Research School of Computer Science, will present PhD program in Computer Science at ANU.
In particular, Sergiy will:

  1. share his experience about academic life in Australia,
  2. present PhD scholarships provided by the University and discuss application process towards these scholarships, and
  3. talk about differences between German and Australian academic systems.

After the talk, there will be a chance to talk with Sergiy about PhD students positions currently open in his research group. Note that PhD programs in Australia similarly to the US are open not only to Master graduates, but also to students holding Bachelor degrees.
Therefore, both Bachelor and Master students are welcome to join this talk.
