Interessen

Im Rahmen meiner, von der DFG geförderten, Doktorarbeit habe ich mich mit der "Funktionellen Bedeutung der Heteroblastie bei Bromelien" (Heteroblastie; Ontogenie) beschäftigt.

Die Freilandarbeiten fanden in Panama (Barro Colorado Island und Fortuna Damm Region) und die Laborarbeiten in Oldenburg statt. Die Untersuchungen im Freiland beinhalteten Blattanatomie, Pflanzen- und Blattmorphologie sowie physiologische und demographische Arbeiten. In Oldenburg führte ich unter anderem ergänzende Versuche mit radioaktiven Isotopen (Nährstoff- und Wasseraufnahme) durch.
