Hinweise zum Inhalt der Veranstaltung für Gasthörende
Size and scale matter - this is the overarching theme of the lecture on scaling in the physiological ecology of plants. Topics will touch the importance of size on mechanical and physiological function, the up-scaling of results obtained at lower levels of integration, e.g. a leaf, to higher levels, e.g. an entire plant, plant growth analysis, the scaling from physiological ecology to population ecology, or the impact of biodiversity on ecosystem function.
