Description
The course offers an introduction to the most important concepts, instruments, and frameworks of business administration. Toward this end, the course first introduces the core concepts and provides an overview of the history, goals, structure, and research traditions of business administration. Subsequently, students will gain insights into 12 important areas of business administration: (1) entrepreneurship, (2) strategic management, (3) organization, (4) materials management and logistics, (5) production management, (6) marketing and sales, (7) accounting and controlling, (8) finance and investment, (9) technology and innovation management, (10) human resource management, (11) information management, and (12) sustainability management. Students deepen and apply the knowledge acquired in the lecture in tutorials. In addition, the course includes guest lectures by practitioners to clarify the practical relevance of the content.
