The Age of Augustus was a period of great political, social and cultural transformation, which also impacted the art and architecture of the time. Indeed, much of the production in these spheres reflect the idea of the emerging Principate. This seminar seeks to highlight the main features of this development through analysis of the most significant artifacts of the period (including works of architecture, sculpture and painting).
