In today’s complex work environment interpersonal communication skills play an important part in determining our individual work effectiveness and lasting career success. Being able to communicate professionally is a vital foundation to strengthen relationships, eliminate misunderstandings, motivate employees and to foster teamwork. Whether it’s a face-to-face conversation or a professional e-mail exchange, a meaningful message entails establishing a powerful and healthy connection with our conversation partner. In addition, dealing with conflicts in an open and constructive way is an essential skill in both our professional and personal life: Gaining confidence in leveraging potential conflict situations as opportunities for change and growth can significantly enhance your work relationships.
During this interactive workshop you will have the chance to learn and apply minor tools and theories of professional communication, e.g.:
• The communication process and the role of verbal and non-verbal messages
• Dealing with different communication/ conflict styles
• Building personal credibility and trust with others
• Delivering positive and negative feedback
• Active listening and paraphrasing
• Effectively deal with emotions
During this Interactive workshop your will have the opportunity to gain theory input as well as live demonstrations. In addition you will improve your communication skills through role-plays, best practice sharing, self-reflection and peer feedback.
Britta Naumann who is a freelance HR Consultant, Trainer and Coach will hold this workshop. In her role she delivers Leadership Development Programs, HR Consulting and individual Coaching on all business levels across diverse industries and professions. Before that Britta spent over 15 years in different leadership roles inside the Human Resources function in different countries as well as she worked for different Universities (e.g. HSG St. Gallen) as a Career Coach. Britta holds a Diploma in Business Administration and a M.A. in Client-Centered Coaching.
