General information about SEM
Problems such as global warming, loss of biodiversity, epidemics, and poverty are becoming ever more pressing. In order to deal with these challenges, there is a demand for leaders with solid skills in economics and well founded general knowledge in ecological and social issues, as well as a pronounced sense of social responsibility.
The master’s programme in Sustainability Economics and Management (SEM) has the aim to coach these experts in sustainability. It provides graduates with factual knowledge as well as analytical, interdisciplinary and social skills in order to enable them to work in businesses, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) or international organisations.
There is a close cooperation with research and teaching at the University of Oldenburg dealing with topics of sustainability and the environment.
