I. International focus on teaching

Oldenburg students have numerous options for studying abroad at the many partner universities (“outgoing students”). The Faculty IV ERASMUS-partnerships of the institutes enable studies within Europe. But also outside of Europe there are many possibilities for studies abroad. The International Student Office provides detailed information.

Regularly “visiting scholars” contribute to an internal course offering in the institutes of Faculty IV. For international students who want to study at the institutes of Faculty IV (“incoming students”) the faculty is currently working on a concept for English language courses offered in the field of humanities and social sciences. We hope to be able to realize this soon and will keep you informed here.

The International Student Office offers support in personal, social, technical and linguistic matters for international students. Moreover, it informs in detail about sholarships for international students. 

II. International focus on research

Research at the institutes of Faculty IV is internationally oriented. This is reflected in numerous research collaborations, international conferences and projects, regular guest lectures of visiting scientists and a lively exchange of scientists with the corresponding partner universities of the institutes. The International Relations Office (IRO) offers a variety of information, advice and support for visiting scholars from abroad.
