Nutrition and physical function in older adults
Group leader: Dr. oec. troph. Rebecca Diekmann
In the geriatric environment the measurement and assessment of nutritional status and the physical function are of special relevance for nutritional and physio-therapeutically interventions. Age-associated difficulties of the nutritional status such as malnutrition or obesity as well as the modification of the body composition had great influence on the physical performance. In this context the need of a technique-based assessment of nutritional status and physical function will be continuously monitored followed by the evaluation within the scope of diagnostic and therapeutically interventions.
