Bio Notes

Dana Andrä

Dana Andrä is currently enrolled in the Bachelor with the subjects English and Biology at the University of Oldenburg. Since October 2015 she also works at the Department of English and American Studies as a tutor for the module “Introduction to Linguistics and the English Language”. Her main research interests are reflected in Linguistics, focusing on syntax, and communicative teaching in Didactics.

Kim Ole Henneke

Kim Ole Henneke works at the Department of English and American Studies at the University of Oldenburg, where he graduated in 2014 (Bachelor of Arts). In his thesis, he concerned himself with representations of cognition in both film and television, and particularly with the workings of anticipation and anticipatory systems in Neo-Victorian texts. He is currently enrolled in the University’s master’s programme for English Studies, focussing on literary and cultural studies.

Jascha Kattmann

 

Jascha Kattmann is an M.A. student of English Studies, focusing on literary and cultural studies. Currently, he is teaching a poetic writing course at the University of Oldenburg and planning on following research interests in the fields of poetry, contemporary literature and different areas of minority studies, such as queer studies, neurodiversity, and cultural minorities. He has acquired his Bachelor’s degree in English and Philosophy at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2016.

Sina Menke

Sina Menke works as a tutor at the Department of English and American Studies at the University of Oldenburg, where she graduated in 2016. She is currently enrolled in the English Studies MA at the University of Oldenburg. Before, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Anglistics and Gender Studies, also at the University of Oldenburg.

Her research interests, apart from “literary studies and cultural studies,” are philosophy (critical theory), psychology (particularly Gestalt Therapy) and politics.

Mareike Schumacher

Mareike Schumacher is currently enrolled in the Master of Education with the subjects English and Math. In a seminar focusing on language, variation and change by Ms. Flöck she got inspired for the topic of the Bachelor thesis. As being interested in theoretical processes and in understanding them, she wanted to work on a theoretical and literature based thesis.

Marie Schnieders

Marie Schnieders is currently enrolled in the BA program of English and Dutch studies at the University of Oldenburg. She is a tutor at the Department of English and American Studies in the module entitled Introduction to Linguistics and the English Language Part since October 2015. Since December 2015 she works as one of Prof. Hamann’s student research assistants in the Franco-German research project BiLaD – Bilingual Language Development: Typically Developing Children and Children with Language Impairment (co-funded by ANR-DFG grant). In addition, she is also employed at the University of Bremen as one of Prof. Rothweiler’s research assistants within the same project since September 2016. During the course of her studies, she developed a research interest in the field of linguistics, especially for generative syntax, L1 and L2 acquisition, language impairment, language processing and diachronic linguistics. Moreover, English Language Teaching as well as the interdisciplinary work of linguistics and didactics aroused her interest. She will write her Bachelor thesis on a longitudinal study on lcL2 typically developing children’s performance on LITMUS tasks.
