Current research and development in the field of enterprise information systems (EIS) and reporting in the form of sustainability reporting in general is limited in South Africa. The EISKE project aims to strength research activities due to the sustainability reporting developments in Germany within a South African and German collaboration.
The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NNMU) considers to increase and develop their capacities by courses and thesis to support research activities. The Oldenburg University supports this knowledge exchange by giving materials, ideas and a collaboration in research. The goal of the EISKE project is to use the knowledge exchange and workshops as a basis for a following EU funding application within a South African and German collaboration.
