Master of Distance Education (MDE)

MDE Certificates

Not all students want a full degree or have the time to complete the full MDE program. Some students are only interested in specific courses. For specific sets of courses, which are related in terms of curricular content, certificates can be earned. Generally a certificate consists of four 3-credit-courses. Currently, five certificates are offered:

  • Certificate in Foundations of Distance Education & E-learning
    This certificate groups together courses covering central dimensions of distance education including technology, costs and economics, and student support. Externer LinkLearn more

  • Certificate in Policy and Management of Distance Education & E-learning

  • Certificate in Teaching and Training at a Distance
    This certificate groups together courses covering central aspects of teaching, training, media, instructional design. Externer LinkLearn more

  • Certificate in Distance Education Leadership & E-learning
    The central course of this certificate is a course on educational leadership. Courses in technology and training are considered complementary. Externer LinkLearn more

  • Certificate in Distance Education, Globalization, and Development
