Master of Distance Education (MDE)

Admission Requirements-Graduate

The Master of Distance Education & E-learning (MDE) is a joint program of the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg and the University of Maryland University College (UMUC). The MDE program is accredited in the US, and UMUC is the degree-awarding organization. To enroll in MDE courses, you will need to register with UMUC.

For international students there are two main requirements:

  • U.S. baccalaureate degree (BA) or something equivalent: All degrees other than a U.S. baccalaureate need to be submitted to an independent evaluation service for Externer Link International Credit Evaluation. For details see the Externer Link UMUC website about requirements.
