Expertise and Equipment

The Electrocatalysis Group is focussed on the development of advanced nano-structured materials combined with in-situ and ex-situ analytical techniques for various electrochemical reactions that are in particular relevant in fuel cell and electrolyzer systems. Our expertise is in:

  • the preparation of multi-metallic nano-materials with advanced functional properties;
  • the electrochemical characterization by using rotating ring disc electrode set-up as well as fuel cell test station and
  • the detection of volatile organic compounds and exhaust gases produced during the electrochemical reactions.
