Zhongkai Li, Ph.D.
Mechanical Design and Theory; Information science; Platform based product family design; Design for environment; System modeling; Intelligent computation; Current research focus on design for industrial ecology and web-based decision tools development.
From 1998 till 2002 Zhongkai Li studied Computer Application Technology at Ji’nan University of China. He specialized in Computer Science and Technology (M.Sc.) from 2003 till 2005 at Shandong University of Technology. From 2006 to 2009, he got his PHD in Zhejiang University major in Mechanical Design and Theory. He finished his post doctor career in Mechanical Engineering in China University of Mining & Technology (CUMT) till 2013. He is now an associate professor in School of Mechatronics Engineering in CUMT.
He did some research in dealing with product platform modeling and enterprise information management software system development during these years. From 2011 to 2013, he finished his project of "Research on theories, methods and application on flexible product platform design" granted by National Science Foundation of China (NSFC). After that, he is now responsible for the project of "Adaptive design and evaluation methods for complex large-scale equipment product family based on time and space dynamic factors" granted by NSFC from 2015 to 2018. From January 2015 till January 2016 he was a research scientist in the research group Cascade Use at the University of Oldenburg.
