He offered seminar talks on AMiR research activities.

14.-18.08.17: AMiR visit the Aalto University in Finland

13.-15.08.2017: Prof. Fatikow is appointed as a member of the 6-person expert committee to perform the first international evaluation of Mechanical Engineering Department of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. The ME department is ranked number 1 in China by the Ministry of Education and employs more than 120 faculty, including three academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Aside from Fatikow, the committee also includes experts from the USA, Canada, Hongkong and Switzerland.

17-21.07.17: Prof. Fatikow is the Founding Chair of the International Conference on Manipulation, Automation and Robotics at Small Scales (MARSS).The 2nd conference is held from 17-21 July 2017 in Montreal, Canada. This recently established annual conference is technically supported by IEEE Robotics and Automation Society and IEEE Nanotechnology Council. MARSS team at AMiR endeavours to develop MARSS to the flagship event in the field.

    Prof. Fatikow is appointed as a member of the four-person Program Panel of the newly-established annual International Robotic Technology and Industry Summit organized by Guangdong province (China) in cooperation with renowned Science journal. More than one thousand representatives from industry and research joined the first Summit in September 2016 in Foshan, to discuss current robotic trends with distinguished international experts.   • Prof. Fatikow is the Founding Chair of the International Conference on Manipulation, Automation and Robotics at Small Scales (MARSS).The inaugural conference is held from 18-22 July 2016 in Paris http://marss-conference.org/. This new annual conference is technically supported by IEEE Robotics and Automation Society and IEEE Nanotechnology Council. MARSS has the ambition to provide the major forum for cross-disciplinary R&D communities to discuss current activities in all areas related to manipulation and automation at micro and nano scales, and all kinds of small scale robots and their applications. MARSS team at AMiR is confident to meet this high challenge and to develop MARSS to a flagship conference in the field.

  • News: "Prof. Sergej Fatikow, Head of Division Microrobotics and Control Eng in the Dept of Computing Science, was elected as the first Executive President of the International Society for Nano Manipulation Manufacturing and Measurement. The Society was founded in April 2014, with the main office in Hongkong, to establish an international platform for professionals related to manipulation, manufacturing and measurement on the nanoscale, to advance the frontiers of the technological development in these fields, to promote the young researchers, to share the latest research developments, and, generally, to promote development of nano science and technology to benefit the society. The flagship event organized by the Society is the annual international conference 3M-NANO, which is held this year in the last week of October in Taipei, Taiwan. The ongoing Society activities includes launching a 3M-NANO professional Journal, presenting of annual international “Rising Star Award” for outstanding achievements on the related research fields, and many others."
