The Signal Processing Group (https://www.uni-oldenburg.de/en/sigproc/) of the Department of Medical Physics and Acoustics, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking to fill the position of a

Research Scientist / PhD Student in Acoustical Signal Processing

The position is available from 01.09.2018 for initially 3 years, with salary according to TV-L E13 (75%).

Candidates are required to have an academic university degree (Master or equivalent) in electrical engineering, engineering physics or hearing technology and audiology, excellent grades and a solid scientific background in at least one of the following fields: acoustics, speech and audio signal processing, machine learning. Familiarity with scientific tools and programming languages (e.g., Matlab, C or python) as well as excellent English language skills are required. In particular, for the envisaged research project experience with multi-microphone speech enhancement algorithms, adaptive filters and mathematical optimization methods is beneficial. A strong interest in interdisciplinary and application-oriented work is desirable.
