Successful Workshop on Electromobility

Around 30 experts from all around the world came to Delmenhorst, a small city located between Oldenburg and Bremen, to discuss material related topics on the automotive life cycle. Why are materials of such high interest to gather together for 3 days to brainstorm on future needs? Everyone knows that automobiles have become lightweight, smarter, safer and more electric. Each of these trends has demanded new types and new combinations of materials – materials that have become more complex.

Dr. Pehlken im Alexander von Humboldt Experten Treffen zwischen Indien und Deutschland vertreten

6th Indo-German Frontiers of Engineering Symposium 2014 in Potsdam (May 2014)

Am vergangenen Symposium zum Thema “Frontiers of Engineering” war auch Dr.-Ing. Alexandra Pehlken mit dabei in Potsdam und leitete mit Arvind K. Nema (Environmental Engineering Laboratory, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi) die Session “Recycling Needs and Technologies”.

Dr.-Ing. Alexandra Pehlken participated in the last Alexander von Humboldt meeting within the “Frontiers of Engineering” series with India in Potsdam. Together with her Indian co-chair Arvind K. Nema (Environmental Engineering Laboratory, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi) she chaired the session “Recycling Needs and Technologies”

Auszüge aus dem Programm:
Excerpt:

“The Indo-German Frontiers of Engineering Symposia (INDOGFOE) are a series of interdisciplinary, binational conferences which are co-organized by the Indian Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Funding on the German side is provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The activity brings together outstanding, early-career German and Indian engineers and natural scientists from industry, universities, and other research institutions to introduce their areas of engineering research and technical work, thereby facilitating an interdisciplinary transfer of knowledge and methodology that could eventually lead to the development of cooperative networks of young scientists from both countries. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation will support such collaborations between German and Indian participants with its special follow-up program “CONNECT” which allocates residence allowances for working visits in their partner country for up to 30 days.”
